It has become very obvious to me that there is a high demand for information on this topic. This is by far the most visited page on this site right now. For example, out of 500 views to the site 478 went directly to this page.
Unfortunately, I can also see where people tend to leave right away and don't take the time to read down through this page. I have no doubt there are more out there and I will keep posting them as I find them.

Be very careful about judging a business or company on reports you read
on sites that encourage people to talk about being ripped off. When reading
these posts, look very carefully to see if their complaints are justified.

Was it really the company who was at fault?
It may be a representative who is not being honest or maybe the person themself

  • Check to see if they have a good reputation on honoring their guarantee
  • Find out if there will be any automatic recurring fees.
  • Ask for names or references of others they have done business with.
  • Check with Reputable Companies to see if they are in good standing.
  • Do they carry the proper insurance and state license if one is required
  • Check to see if they are registered with the state
